THE ART of retailing Trees in the Garden Center has become paramount to supporting the price/ value relationship and price perception. Eaton Farms has specialized in growing Trees for Independent Garden Centers for over 20 years; in fact we coined the phrase ‘Garden Center Trees’ back in 1992. Originally a field grower, we harvested trees about a 1-1/2" caliper into 20" wire baskets to provide a manageable size for the homeowner and Garden Center. In 1998 we designed and manufactured handles for these B&B trees to solve that problem. Fast forward to today, we now grow exclusively in containers in the largest pot in pot production facility in the Northeast. We grow Trees for retail in sizes from a #7 up to a #25 with calipers up to 3."
