WEB-BASED TREES SALES - NEW FOR SPRING 2012 & BEYOND!


Eaton Farms, always a leader in Marketing and Technology in the industry, has been preparing and studying how to bring growing internet sales activity to the Garden Center. Of course, having a Branded Product line was step one taken years ago.


The past two years we have experimented with selling small Trees online, Trees we grow from cuttings that eventually support our larger sizes your accustomed to. With this experience we have created a WEB-BASED sales model that partners with our Garden Center customers to make internet Tree sales a reality today!


We tested a "Buy Trees Now" link this past spring on www.PennsylvaniaPride.com and received over 2000 hits in just 12 weeks! Many of your customers want to buy online today and many, many more will do so as each year passes!

Our goal for Spring 2012 is to sell 100 Trees online in #15 sizes; our goal for Spring 2017 is to sell 1000 Trees in this size online; and in 2022 our goal is to sell 10,000 Trees! And, we expect to not only reach our goals but to surpass them!


Relatively simple: Customers will choose the right Tree for them through our "Find A Tree That's Right For You" search program on www.PennsylvaniaPride.com in their desired size from a #3, which is direct shipped via Fed Ex, up to a #25.


Customers will then choose a participating Garden Center/Brand Partner near them to pick up their Tree. Customers will also have the opportunity to purchase recommended planting kits and supplies as well. Pick up will always be 7 to 14 days out.


Now is when we really have some fun... working with our Brand Partners, we will first determine if the Tree desired is in our Brand Partners current inventory and if so, the sale is ready to go. Should the Tree order not be available, Eaton Farms will deliver the tree to your Garden Center well before the scheduled pick up date.


Delivery & Planting Services will be handled directly by the Garden Center. Our Brand Partners will be made aware that these services are desired.


So how's the money part work? The sale is made online and paid in full before any actions are taken. When the sale is complete at prices predetermined, online prices will be generally higher than your normal mark up, one of two things will take place:


  • Pennsylvania Pride Tree in Garden Center inventory: Eaton Farms will send payment immediately to our Brand Partners upon completed and successful pick up event less10%.

OR...

  • Pennsylvania Pride Tree delivered to Garden Center: Eaton Farms will deliver Tree, Customer and a Check to you! The check amount will be dictated by the Tree selection.

For Spring 2012 we are looking for about 25 Garden Centers, visionaries who will aggressively partner with us to launch this REVOLUTIONARY sales action plan. Are you one of these?
